About Us

We are sisters/cousins who started singing together in early 2008 (ages 13, 12, and almost 11) in different Independent Baptist churches in our area. The Lord truly blessed us in giving us opportunities to sing.
In 2014 one of our group was married and one went to college.  In 2015, another went to college.  All 3 of us are married now and live in different states, thousands of miles apart.
Although we no longer get to sing together, we will continue to sell CDs as long as we have them.  🙂 Our greatest desire is to give God the glory for all He's done. He's given us so many things we can be thankful for. God is good, all the time!

Rebekah Hawks Moore
My name is Rebekah Hawks Moore.  I married Caleb Moore in January, 2014.  In December of that year, we had Callie, and then Carson in the summer of 2016.  In the fall of 2019, we added Adelyn to our family, then Jedediah in the fall of 2022.
In June, 2021, we moved to Nebraska to start a church and to minister to the people in northwest area of the state.  In March, 2022, my husband became the pastor of Open Door Church in Chadron, NE.

I've been blessed to be raised in a Christian home. My daddy is a preacher and my mama home schooled me, my brother JohnDavid, and sister Bethany from kindergarten all the way through high school.
A few months before I turned 4 my parents allowed me to start taking piano lessons. I didn't always like to practice but I'm glad they made me stick with it.

I was saved at age 7 at a revival. Though I don't remember the date or time, I know the exact spot on the altar where I knelt and accepted Christ as my personal Savior. It's something that you never regret, and it's absolutely the best life!

It's my desire to be used of the Lord in some way in my life.
~For all He's done I want to lift my hands to praise Him. For all He's done I want to live my life to please Him. Even though I don't deserve to live my life has just begun, and I can't help but praise the Lord for all He's done!~

Psalm 73:25, 26 "Whom have I in Heaven but thee, and there is none upon the earth that I desire beside thee. My flesh and my heart faileth, but God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever."

Abigail Hawks Mitten
My name is Abigail (Hawks) Mitten. I have 5 younger brothers: Caleb, Jonathan & Jared (twins), Andrew, and Nathan.
I married my husband Jack Mitten in August, 2019 (one of the greatest days of my life!), and we now have 3 little ones and live in Wyoming.

I was born in South Carolina to Noel and Charity Hawks. When I was a few months old, we moved to North Carolina where I lived for the majority of my life.

At 4 years old, I received Christ as my Savior. I remember realizing that I was a sinner and needed someone to help me. I simply poured my little 4 year old heart out to God and humbly asked Him to be my Savior. Jesus died for everyone and He will not reject those that call on Him.  I became His daughter that day, and what a wonderful blessing to be HIS!
I was baptized a few years later by my dad.

When Jack and I met in August, 2018, we both had similar goals. Our desire was to serve the Lord. I had given myself to God to be a missionary if he so desired, and Jack had done the same. Jack had taken a trip to an country in Asia the summer before we met, and was already praying about going there full time. Our goals were so identical that we felt God could use us as a team to reach others with the Gospel. Within a few weeks of talking and sharing our burdens with one another, we knew that God was leading us to get married. We were married within 11 months from the time that we met!

Since our wedding, we have had amazing opportunities to interact with lost people in our community, and God has given us truly wonderful friendships. We praise His name for His wonderful blessings on our life together.

My husband has learned a trade in surveying. He has a total of 6 years to work under a licensed surveyor.  In May, 2023, he finished all of his studies at The University of Florida, and we moved to Wyoming. We have prayed and sought the Lord's guidance on what the next step would be for us, and we believe this is it. We are simply taking it step by step.

"Except the LORD build the house, they labour in vain that build it: except the LORD keep the city, the watchman waketh but in vain." -Psalm 127v1

"For we cannot but speak the things which we have seen and heard." Acts 4v20

Bethany Hawks Dougherty

My name is Bethany Hawks Dougherty.  I married John Dougherty in September, 2021, and now live in Alaska

I was born and raised in North Carolina until 2014, when I moved to Tennessee to enroll in Crown College, a Bible college located just outside of Knoxville, TN. I graduated with my Bachelors Degree in May of 2018.

I became a Christian about a month before I turned 7 years old, after my twin brother, JohnDavid, had trusted Christ as his Savior just 7 months prior. The Lord began to show me that I was a sinner, and that my sin must be paid for through His Son Jesus Christ. I vividly remember God softening my heart towards salvation, and on one Saturday evening, I prayed and asked Christ to come into my life and live within me.

I am grateful for the years of preparation for the ministry that I was able to experience when I attended Crown College. The Lord showed me the importance of a close relationship with Him and daily seeking for His guidance through my Christian life. I'm thankful for the opportunities to go on mission trips and work as a Camp Counselor for two summers. God taught what the power of prayer can do in someone's life, and how He can take a someone so unworthy and use them in a great way if they are willing give their life to His Work. "...and who then is willing to consecrate his service this day unto the Lord?"

The Lord has given me a great burden for children and I know that He has a divine purpose for my life. I have had the opportunity of visiting several other countries and there is such a need for someone to go and tell them of Christ and His love for them. Please pray that God will give my husband and me clear direction in where He wants us to serve, and that His Name will be glorified through our lives.

1 Chronicles 28v9-10,  "Know thou the God of thy Father, and serve Him with a perfect heart and with a willing mind: for the Lord searcheth all hearts, and understandeth all the imaginations of the thoughts: if thou seek Him, He will be found of thee; but if thou forsake Him, He will cast thee off forever."

  3. My sons(14 & 16) went to camp at Temple Baptist and one son attends Crown College. They heard the Moore's family sing and looked them up when they got home. They found your family on you tube and have been listening and singing with you ever since. I just want to tell you it is such a blessing to hear teens singing such godly music in this day and age. Thank you for sharing your music online. Keep serving the Lord. from a grateful parent in Florida

  4. Hi! I was looking up the song, It's Under The Blood (I heard it recently at a revival) and found songs by The Hawks Trio. What a blessing! I am a Independent Fundamental Bible believing Christian and it is so refreshing to hear music that doesn't draw attention to "self", but glorifies the Lord. I will definitely be ordering cd's. Please keep fighting the fight for the Lord!!!

  6. Hello there, there's a song that I check on YouTube for when it comes to mind that I've never really found a version of that I liked, until I came across a version of it sung by y'all (Hawks Trio). The song is To Rescue a Sinner Like Me. Amazing voices and a very moving song. Keep up God's work and thank you for the song. By the way, I'm from Beeville, Tx and a member of Beeville Baptist Church. My church and I appreciate people using their talents for God's glory. God bless y'all.

    1. I am sorry, since all the girls play by ear, we don't have sheet music except for "It's Under the Blood," since it was provided to us by Bro. Leonard Fletcher, the author. He said to give to anyone who asked, free of charge. =)

But I do have the chords typed out for several songs that the girls wrote out for me while they were all still home, so if you would like to email thehawkstrio@gmail.com, I can send those to you. =)

    1. Thank you, we are honored you would like our girls to sing at your church. 🙂 However, they rarely get to sing together now. Bethany is leaving in a couple of weeks and will be in Italy for 3 months. My niece Abigail is in currently in college, but is getting married at the beginning of August. They plan to live in TN. It is possible they may sing if Abigail is here in NC, but it depends on where the other ladies are at the time.
Thank you so much for asking!

  12. Fellow citizens of God's country.I just heard your song THE STORY THAT LIVES and was just moved. Amazing singing and piano playing. In this world where people strive hard to become the next idol of the world with their talents it is wonderful to know that somewhere in this world there's a group of three that desires to sing and use their talents to please and glorify God alone. Loved reading your individual testimonies on how God saved you.I'd love to get your CDs. Continue to sing for his glory alone. May God bless you and use you all in lighting other's lives with Jesus christ...God bless you....

    1. Yes, that song was written by one of my daughters, Bethany, and a college friend, Eden, while on a mission trip to England during their spring semester, 2016.  They said that this song represented how all the group felt after attending a week-long retreat, in Ireland, I believe, and a song came out of it.  =)
There is also a video of the college group singing at their Tuesday night prayer meeting in England.

We don't have sheet music, but if you would like to email us at thehawkstrio@gmail.com, I can email you the lyrics and the chords. =)

  18. I Just heard "The Song that Lives" this morning on our Church's radio station! It had really been a blessing to me! My wife and I passed over 35 years in the Sahara Desert to give God's Word to folk there who did not have any Bible at all. This song has been a special encouragement to me. Thank you so much for your service for the Lord Jesus Christ!
